Our Veterinarians

Dr. Brent Crabtree
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Brent Crabtree’s life was forever impacted by his first family dog, Emily, a Chocolate Lab that was brought home when Dr. Crabtree was just five years old. Over the next several years, he and his family began raising more Labradors, and it wasn’t long before Dr. Crabtree became fascinated with the health and wellness needs of the dogs. He knew that he wanted to continue learning—for Dr. Crabtree, a career in veterinary medicine was the perfect path!

Dr. Crabtree is from Muncie, Indiana and attended Indiana Wesleyan University to earn his Bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary medicine and biology. Next, he headed to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts to receive his Doctorate in animal medicine at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Crabtree completed his clinical years at Ohio State University, then returned to central Indiana to launch his career as a licensed veterinarian.

Dr. Crabtree became the owner of Pendleton Veterinary Clinic in March of 2017, and has been serving the pets and animal parents of this area ever since. Medically, he’s fond of wound management and surgical work, and makes it his goal to perform procedures in the least invasive and most pain-free manner possible. Dr. Crabtree’s favorite part of the job, though, is meeting pet owners and their beloved companions every day.

Outside of work, Dr. Crabtree is an avid hiker—his favorite memory to date was hiking to the top of the Mount Liamuiga volcano on the island of St. Kitts—and also enjoys running. He and his wife, Kendra, have three children and share their home with a trio of loveable canine companions: a Shih Poo named Macy; Lexi the Great Dane, whose bark is worse than her bite; and a Great Dane puppy, Evie, who loves to chew everything in sight.
Dr. Kelly Fisher
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Fisher grew up on a farm in northern Indiana, and was a 10-year member of the 4-H organization. Her early experiences with animals made a permanent impression. The first time a veterinarian came to the family farm to tend to one of the sick animals, young Dr. Fisher was in awe—she knew that she wanted to do the exact same thing! Now, she’s a veterinarian herself.

Dr. Fisher worked in kennels during her high-school and undergraduate careers—only strengthening her certainty that she wanted to work hands-on with animals full-time—before attending Purdue University to study veterinary medicine. She graduated as a licensed veterinarian in 2004, and has been helping animals live happier, healthier lives ever since.

Dr. Fisher first met Dr. Crabtree when they worked together in an emergency clinic, and the pair kept in touch ever since. When Dr. Crabtree was in need of a full-time Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Fisher was more than happy to join forces once again! She’s especially fond of end-of-life care, internal medicine and surgery, and critical care work—Dr. Fisher still occasionally works in the E.R. to keep her emergency skills sharp.

At home, Dr. Fisher enjoys reading, spending quality time with her family, and traveling during the spring and fall to attend her son’s soccer tournaments. She and her husband have two children, a son and a daughter, and also share their home with one pet: Papa Smurf, a French Bulldog who spends much of his time “singing” to his human family members.

Everyone is beyond amazing. Dr. Frazier saw my sweet little dog an hour after calling because my poor baby woke up just crying in agony all night long. Discovered she had a herniated disc and needed to be crated and medicated for a couple weeks. I wasn’t able to be at that appointment due to a test in class, but my mother relayed the message that she was very sweet and gentle.
Dr. Crabtree sees my other animals, and he is just beyond amazing. His kindness, gentle touch, and concern for you as well as the animals is what makes him an awesome vet. I will never go to anyone else. All the girls, and Kyle have been so wonderful with me and my animals and have always loved on them like they would their own, even when my one cat decided to be a little mouthy with them lol. Best experience with any vet that I have ever had. ❤️
