Dr. Kelly Fisher
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Fisher grew up on a farm in northern Indiana, and was a 10-year member of the 4-H organization. Her early experiences with animals made a permanent impression. The first time a veterinarian came to the family farm to tend to one of the sick animals, young Dr. Fisher was in awe—she knew that she wanted to do the exact same thing! Now, she’s a veterinarian herself.
Dr. Fisher worked in kennels during her high-school and undergraduate careers—only strengthening her certainty that she wanted to work hands-on with animals full-time—before attending Purdue University to study veterinary medicine. She graduated as a licensed veterinarian in 2004, and has been helping animals live happier, healthier lives ever since.
Dr. Fisher first met Dr. Crabtree when they worked together in an emergency clinic, and the pair kept in touch ever since. When Dr. Crabtree was in need of a full-time Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Fisher was more than happy to join forces once again! She’s especially fond of end-of-life care, internal medicine and surgery, and critical care work—Dr. Fisher still occasionally works in the E.R. to keep her emergency skills sharp.
At home, Dr. Fisher enjoys reading, spending quality time with her family, and traveling during the spring and fall to attend her son’s soccer tournaments. She and her husband have two children, a son and a daughter, and also share their home with two French Bulldogs: Papa Smurf who spends much of his time “singing” to his human family members, and Zoe, who has added a dash of mischievousness to their house.
